John Adair (B.A. Queen’s, 2001; J.D. UofT, 2005) is a founding partner at Adair Goldblatt Bieber LLP, a litigation boutique in Toronto. He has a diverse practice that includes notable cases such as a class action against (what was then) Ryerson University for breach of contract with its students; a claim against the Republic of Iran that was the first claim against a foreign state under Canada’s Justice for Victims of Terrorism Act; a successful appeal in one of the largest medical malpractice judgments in Ontario’s history; intervening in the constitutional challenge to Ontario’s sexual education curriculum; and, a class action against Instagram for psychological harm done to users.
