Faculty of Law alumnus Eric Kert (JD 1985) is the Senior Vice President, Business & Legal Affairs, International Touring at Live Nation, based in Beverly Hills, CA. 

Kert was called to the bar in 1987 and practiced law at Goodmans LLP. He then started working in the live entertainment industry as in-house counsel for CPI, which at the time was Canada’s largest concert promotion company and one of the largest in the world.

The Hon. Michael J. Moldaver (BA UC 1968, LLB 1971, Hon. LLD 2019), Justice of the Supreme Court of Canadahas announced his retirement from the bench this September. On Dec. 23 Justice Moldaver will turn 75, the mandatory retirement age for Supreme Court judges.

Faculty of Law of Law graduate Edward Roberts (BA 1960 Vic, LLB 1964), who served as Newfoundland and Labrador's 11th lieutenant-governor, was a prominent Newfoundland and Labrador politician over four decades, and practiced law as a senior partner of Halley Hunt in in St. John's, has passed away at age 81.

U of T Law extends condolences to Roberts' family, friends and colleagues.
