The University of Toronto Faculty of Law is ranked first in Canada and among the top 15 law schools in the world by the Times Higher Education World University Rankings 2021. U of T Law ranked in the top ten in the THE 2020 subject rankings.

U of T Law joins institutions in the top 15 from the United States, United Kingdom, Australia and Singapore. Along with McGill University (16th), U of T Law (14th) is one of only two schools in Canada to rank in the top 30.

According to the THE, "The law subject table uses the same trusted and rigorous performance indicators as the Times Higher Education World University Rankings 2021, but the methodology has been recalibrated to suit the discipline. This year’s table includes 224 universities, up from 190 last year."
