Times Higher Education banner: University of Toronto ranked 10th for Law

The University of Toronto Faculty of Law has been ranked as one of the top 10 law schools in the world in the Times Higher Education World University Rankings 2020.

U of T Law was ranked tenth, ahead of any other law schools outside of Great Britain and the United States.

The THE World University Rankings includes more than 1,250 institutions across 86 countries in 2019. It judges research-intensive universities across the following criteria: teaching (the learning environment); research (volume, income and reputation), international outlook (staff, students and research); citations (research influence); and industry income (knowledge transfer). It uses 13 carefully calibrated performance indicators to provide the most comprehensive and balanced comparisons, and all data is independently audited by professional services firm PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC). The overall methodology is carefully recalibrated for each subject, with the weightings changed to suit the individual fields.
