Prof. Anita Anand(August 31, 2010) Prof. Anita Anand was appointed the chair of the Ontario Securities Commission investor advisory panel today.

Anand is an associate professor and a past associate dean of the J.D. program here at the UofT Faculty of Law. She teaches securities regulation and corporate law.

(Sept. 16, 2010) For the fourth consecutive year, Maclean’s magazine has selected the Faculty of Law as Canada’s top law school. The rankings assess graduates and faculty on “key output measures” such as faculty citations, elite firm hiring, national reach and Supreme Court clerkships.

Prof. Audrey Macklin has commented in various media about the legal obligations and issues around the arrival in BC of a ship full of Tamil refugees from Sri Lanka.

In the Globe and Mail, Prof. Macklin penned a commentary on the issue with immigration lawyer Lorne Waldman ("Why we can’t turn away the Tamil ships," August 17, 2010).

Prof. Arthur Ripstein(Sept.  14, 2010) Prof. Arthur Ripstein has been elected as a new Fellow of the Royal Society of Canada. The Royal Society, “Canada’s National Academy,” is the country’s senior national body of distinguished Canadian scholars, artists and scientists.
