In its Winter 2011 issue, UofT Magazine has chosen ten "Next Big Ideas" from the hundreds of ideas generated by University of Toronto faculty each year. One of these ideas is provided by the Faculty of Law's Prof. Douglas Sanderson, who discusses the importance of "Restoring a Way of Life" for Canada's indigenous peoples.

The political naiveté of champions of a national scheme of securities regulation is astonishing. The last 15 years have been replete with statements from countless Canadians of gravitas that a national regulator is about three months away. It’s amazing how long it has taken those three little months to come and go.

The Moot argued the case of a bystander arrested at a political protest who is suing for breach of her Charter rights and is seeking damages.
