Fourth Annual Conference on Student Publishing in Law

Friday March 6, 2009
10:00 a.m. - 6:00 pm
Falconer Hall Solarium

Watch the webcast of the "Writers and Editors Speak" panel.

The Law Review's annual conference is sponsored by Blakes.

The conference presents a great opportunity to read great student work, to hear law journals editors talk about how they select papers for publication and to learn about the process of writing from top students, professors and practitioners.

Highlights include a first year paper workshop in the morning (with editors from JILIR, JLE and the UTFLR), a fireside chat with Peter Hogg, a discussion of notable cases from 2008, and a panel discussion pairing law journal editors with writers they have published, to talk about their experiences writing, selecting, and polishing work for publication - including a current clerk at the Supreme Court of Canada. The day will end with a cocktail reception at 5:30PM.

Please visit our web site (www.utflr.org) for a full conference program and to download some of the papers being presented.
