Expert Consultation on Human Rights Guidelines for Pharmaceutical Companies in Relation to Access to Medicines with Paul Hunt, the UN Special Rapporteur on the Right to Health, held September 18, 2007.  The following day, September 19, he released the Draft Human Rights Guidelines for Pharmaceutical Companies for public consultation until December 31, 2007.  On October 25, 2007, Paul Hunt told the United Nations General Assembly that the draft had been made available for consultation "following a multi-stakeholder workshop at the University of Toronto" which included participants from pharmaceutical companies.  A new website on the consultation, launched in May 2008, is a resource regarding the human rights responsibility of pharmaceutical companies, and Hunt's human rights guidelines specifically.
