The current economic situation presents daunting challenges for lawyers at all stages of their careers. But Faculty of Law alumni have access to a variety of professional resources and educational programs that can assist them as they consider the next step in their careers. The Faculty of Law is pleased to offer the following opportunities to its alumni community:
LL.M. Program - Extension of Deadline for Applications
We are pleased to announce that we have extended the application deadline for admission to our LL.M. program until July 31, 2009. Whether you are looking to deepen your knowledge of a particular legal field or to transition into a new practice area, an LL.M. at U of T is a great way to build up your skills and credentials.
The LLM is an intensive twelve month program that offers students opportunities in a broad range of fields, such as constitutional law, administrative law, corporate and commercial law, environmental law, health law and policy, international law, and human rights, to mention just a few of the more popular areas.
"The U of T Faculty of Law LLM program offers the highest caliber of legal education, close interaction with Canada's leading legal scholars, and the opportunity to pursue areas of specialization that are tailored to individual need," says Associate Dean David Dyzenhaus. "It provides a tremendous opportunity to develop a more sophisticated level of legal knowledge and expertise in key practice areas. Ultimately, we believe it opens doors to new opportunities in law."
