Arnup Cup moot
The University of Toronto was pronounced the winner of the 2008 Arnup Cup moot, a competition in criminal law among Ontario law schools. Our team - Jenn Strate and Ellen Silver - conducted their trial and did a superb job as Crowns. The University of Toronto now has the privilege of competing in the National Trial Advocacy competition - the Sopinka Cup competition - which will be held in March in Ottawa.
The Wilson Moot
Congratulations to the Wilson Moot team - Nick Shkordoff, Jane Stewart, Laura Best and Paul Erik Veel, and their coaches, Anji Samarasekera and Rose Park. The team received the Runner-up prize for "Best Factum". A special thank you to Professors Code and Sossin for their support of the moot team.
The Davies Corporate/Securities Moot
Congratulations to the Davies Corporate/Securities Moot team - Ian Caines, Stephanie Couzin, Kathryn Esaw, Vinay Sarin and their coaches, Brian Duong and Mark Myhre. The team finished 3rd overall. A special thank you to Professor McIntosh and Associate Dean Anand for their support of the moot team.
The Jessup
The Jessup team came in fourth place at the national rounds after a very competitive bout in the finals. Congratulations to the team of Michael Rosenberg, Peter Senkpiel, Kiran Patel, and Jelena Madunic for their hard work, and particular congratulations to Kiran Patel (10th best oralist), Jelena Madunic (best oralist in the championship round) and and the whole team for winning fourth place memorials. Special mention to coach Nicole Henderson and a big thank you to Andrea Harrington, as well as to Professors Bhuta and Brunnee for their tremendous support of the team.
The Callaghan

First year voluntary moots
Congratulations to the first years who competed in the recent first year voluntary moots, and to their upper year coaches.
In particular, congratulations to the team at the Fasken Martineau First Year Moot, who took 2nd place team prize, Max Shapiro who was "1st Distinguished Oralist," and Heather Cochran who took Honourable Mention.
