The Faculty of Law’s Prof. Anita Anand has received one of eight Law Foundation of Ontario grants, through its national Access to Justice Fund (ATJF), to fund an investor rights projects—the first of its kind in Canada focusing “on the need for additional or alternative regulation in the area of investor remedies.”

The Faculty of Law is saddened to hear of the passing of alumnus Martin Teplitsky, LLB 1964, on July 14, 2016. A native of Toronto, he was a law professor, a senior and founding partner of boutique litigation firm Teplitsky, Colson LLP and one of Canada’s most respected mediators-arbitrators. He was also a prolific writer and authored numerous journal articles on access to justice, tort law, arbitration and mediation.

Faculty of Law students wrapped up another banner mooting season, in a variety of competitions, with six first-place victories, five second-place spots, six general oralist awards, in addition to five best facta and two other facta awards, thanks to the dedication and time of many students, faculty and alumni.
