U of T gets set for spring convocation 2025

As spring begins to bloom in southern Ontario, thousands of students from across the University of Toronto’s three campuses are preparing to close their laptops, don gowns and hoods – and walk across the stage in Convocation Hall. 

This year, there will be a total of 34 ceremonies, beginning with U of T Scarborough on June 3 and wrapping up with Rotman Commerce on June 20.

Today, Historica Canada released a new Heritage Minute, recognizing the legacy of Canada’s Bora Laskin, 14th Chief Justice of Canada (1973-1984), which the iconic Victor Garber portrays. He was the first Jewish member of the Supreme Court when appointed to Canada’s highest bench in 1970.

We are delighted to share that U of T Law graduates Melissa Kluger (LLB 2001) and Yola Ventresca (LLM 2007) have received a 2025 Law Society of Ontario award.  

Kluger has received a Law Society Medal. The award is given for outstanding service within the profession, whether in the area of practice, in the academic sphere, or in some other professional capacity where the service is in accordance with the highest ideals of the legal profession.
