In Memoriam: Professor Emeritus Edmund Alexander

It is with immense sadness that the Faculty of Law announces the passing of Professor Emeritus Edmund Alexander.

Born and raised in Toronto, Professor Alexander graduated from the University of Toronto in 1953 with a Bachelor of Commerce and the Faculty of Law with a Bachelor of Laws in 1956.

After briefly teaching in Ottawa, he returned to Toronto and spent 25 years teaching at the Faculty of Law. He was a passionate and dedicated professor, leaving a legacy of kindness and generosity to students and colleagues alike.

Bestselling author Natalie Jenner (LLB 1993) to release third novel, Every Time We Say Goodbye

Natalie Jenner is the author of the internationally bestselling novels The Jane Austen Society and Bloomsbury Girls, which have been translated into more than twenty languages worldwide. Her third novel, Every Time We Say Goodbye, releases in May 2024 and her fourth novel, Austen at Sea, is slated for a spring 2025 release.

U of T Law graduate Caroline Catharine Opler Monahan (JD 2023) has been awarded the prestigious Frank Knox Memorial Fellowship at Harvard University.

The Frank Knox Memorial Fellowship program provides funding for students from Australia, Canada, New Zealand and the United Kingdom to conduct graduate study at Harvard University. A Knox Fellowship covers full Harvard tuition and living expenses.
