U of T Law ranked first in Canada and among the top 20 law schools in the world by the Times Higher Education World University Rankings 2023 by subject. 

According to the THE, "The law subject table uses the same trusted and rigorous performance indicators as the Times Higher Education World University Rankings 2023, but the methodology has been recalibrated to suit the discipline."

The 2023 rankings included 290 universities, an increase from 257 ranked in 2022.
