The Supreme Court of Canada, in its decision on the case Saskatchewan Federation of Labour v. Saskatchewan, cited work by faculty members and also several articles that came out of a conference organized by Prof. Brian Langille at the Faculty of Law.

The decision for the majority cited an expert report affidavit by Prof. Patrick Macklem and two articles by Prof. Brian Langille. As well, it cited several articles by other scholars based on papers presented at the symposium "Is There a Constitutional Right to Strike in Canada?" organized by Prof. Brian Langille at the University of Toronto Faculty of Law on December 5, 2009 and published in a special issue of the Canadian Labour and Employment Law Journal ((2009‑2010), 15 C.L.E.L.J.).
