JD students Nalin Sahni and Andrew Moeser have taken up the fight to remove local bans on clotheslines in Ontario. They have submitted a formal application to the provincial government to have clotheslines identified as something that benefits energy conservation, which would render invalid any local bans on their use.

Their work was featured in an article in the National Post on October 10, 2007. The article quotes Nalin Sahni saying "It's a no-brainer. If people want to reduce their energy use, you shouldn't stop them. And it will reduce greenhouse gases and global warming."
