WXN awardees

Faculty of Law alumna Shara Roy (LLB 2003) and Faculty of Law Dean, University Professor and James Marshall Tory Dean’s Chair, Jutta Brunnée, have been recognized by the Women's Executive Network (WXN). 

WXN is a North American organization that recognizes and celebrates the contributions, accomplishments and professional advancement of women in any sector. Each year, WXN recognizes Canada's Top 100 Women, from emerging leaders, to community impact, entrepreneurs and executives. Roy and Brunnée were both recognized as professionals in practice who play a leadership role within their organizations.

Roy is the Chief Legal Counsel, Partner and Member of the Executive Committee at EY Canada. WXN recognized Roy "as a visionary leader, passionate champion for diversity and experienced lawyer." 

Brunnée is cited by the WXN as "the world’s foremost scholar of international environmental law, and a leading figure in the general theory of international law. The combined power of her scholarship in these fields makes her work of the highest importance to addressing global climate change."
