Callaghan mooters

The Callaghan Memorial Moot, named in memory of former Chief Justice of the Ontario Court (General Division), Frank W. Callaghan, is a University of Toronto Faculty of Law moot for 16 students on a topic in the area of criminal or constitutional law.

The problem was based on the recent Court of Appeal for Ontario case R v Sullivan. Mooters in the final round gave submissions before Associate Chief Justice of Ontario, The Honourable J. Michal Fairburn (LLB 1990); The Honourable Justice Gary T. Trotter (LLB 1985), Court of Appeal for Ontario; and retired judge, The Honourable Robert J. Sharpe (LLB 1970), a Distinguished Jurist in Residence and Dean Emeritus at the Faculty of Law.
