Prof. Anand recognized with South Asian community Trailblazer award

Professor Anita Anand, academic director of the Centre for the Legal Profession, and the innovative Program on Ethics in Law and Business, was recently recognized with a Trailblazer award by the Canadian Association of South Asian Lawyers (CASAL).

A celebratory gala drew more than 300 lawyers, judges and guests from the South Asian community to laud the achievements of distinguished South Asian members of the legal profession.

In Memoriam: Kris Astaphan, JD 1984

The Faculty of Law is saddened to announce the passing of alumnus Kris Astaphan, JD 1984, on June 6, 2013, aged 59. A much-loved and accomplished law grad, he was called to the Bar of Ontario in 1986, and from 1986-93 worked at Aird & Berlis in taxation law.
