Supreme Court Justice Rosalie Abella '70 talks with the U of T Women in House students

Five Faculty of Law students were among the 50 University of Toronto students who took part in this year’s U of T Women in House event, where young women with an interest in politics shadow female parliamentarians. They also had the opportunity to spend time with alumna and Supreme Court Justice Rosalie Abella '70. The students each shared their reflections (PDF) on this remarkable experience. 1L Tali Chernin says:

What I will take away most of all was the powerful message of the need of women to take up space in Parliament and find common ground to effect change at a pace unlike anywhere else. It was a privilege to meet with so many remarkable, brave women, who inspired me with their passion for making Canada a better, more inclusive place.
