The Jackman Law Building and Faculty Renewal design by Hariri Pontarini Architects (HPA) and B + H Architects has landed a Canadian Architect Award of Excellence for 2013, one of six announced today in Canadian Architect magazine.

The Faculty of Law Renewal project was selected “an incredibly resolved, well-executed design.” Juror comments included: “There is a rigour and finesse in its contextual fit that will serve to reinforce this as a landmark building on campus.”

The awards recognize the best in Canadian architectural designs, and “focus on commissioned but not yet completed projects, recognizing design ambition and supporting a culture of design excellence.”

HPA’s award for the Jackman Law Building was one of two awards it received. Its design for Toronto AIDS hospice Casey House was also recognized today.
