A farewell to Ruth Bader Ginsburg, from a sister in law: Op-Ed by Justice Rosalie Silberman Abella (LLB 1970)

In an op-ed published in the Globe and Mail, Supreme Court of Canada Justice Rosalie Silberman Abella (LLB 1970) pays tribute to her friend, "the incandescent Ruth Bader Ginsburg".

On the day of Ms. Ginsburg's death, Sept. 18, The Hon. Silberman Abella told the Globe and Mail, "She was a courageous jurist who left an indelible, progressive mark on American jurisprudence and an inspiring one for judges everywhere. The fight for global justice just got harder."

A year ago, Ms. Ginsburg described the Canadian jurist as one of her "dearest sisters-in-law."
