They walked on the dais at Convocation Hall as graduates, and walked off as U of T’s newest alumni. About 200 law students celebrated the completion of their law degree June 7th, as the Class of 2019 enjoyed Convocation with their family, friends, and faculty and staff.

The Faculty of Law celebrated Convocation together with graduates from the Munk School of Global Affairs and Public Policy, and the honorary graduand was alumnus The Hon. Justice Michael Moldaver.

Justice Moldaver charmed the audience with his warm, thoughtful and humorous address, sprinkled with various wise tips to lead a full and rewarding life post-graduation.

“The things we do today become the memories of tomorrow. So if you want good memories, do good things.” -- Dr. Justice Michael Moldaver #UofTGrad19

A blue sky with warm sunshine added to the festivities, and the energy built up around King’s College Circle after the ceremony with lots of congratulatory hugs, family photos and more. Once again the Faculty of Law hosted a reception on the back lawn of the law school, where Dean Ed Iacobucci opened with remarks and handed out the academic awards. The valedictorian was Solomon McKenzie, and students selected Professor Carol Rogerson to give the Hail and Farewell address.
