University of Toronto Faculty of Law alumna Maureen Kempston Darkes (BA Vic 1970, JD 1973, Hon. LLD 1996), has been inducted into the Canadian Business Hall of Fame.

Inductees are chosen as Companions of the Order of the Business Hall of Fame to honour their contributions to the economic development and prosperity of Canada.

Faculty of Law alumnus Eric Kert (JD 1985) is the Senior Vice President, Business & Legal Affairs, International Touring at Live Nation, based in Beverly Hills, CA. 

Kert was called to the bar in 1987 and practiced law at Goodmans LLP. He then started working in the live entertainment industry as in-house counsel for CPI, which at the time was Canada’s largest concert promotion company and one of the largest in the world.
