Alumnus Jonathan Anschell talks to students about CBS TV career

University of Toronto Faculty of Law alumnus Jonathan Anschell '92 is executive vice-president and general counsel at CBS Television in Los Angeles. He visited the law school recently and chatted with students as part of the "Leadership Lunch" series.

Anschell spoke about his career path and told students that US law firms were just starting to look north to Canada for grads during the early 1990s after he graduated. "I had no interest in mergers and acquisitions," said Anschell, which meant he wasn't headed to New York. But he did gain litigation experience, which he found helpful after he became in-house counsel for CBS in California.
