Mary graduated with a J.D. from Osgoode Hall Law School where she participated in the Poverty Law Intensive at Parkdale Community Legal Services and served as the co-president of the Black Law Student's Association. 
 
Mary articled with Rexdale Community Legal Clinic and has an extensive background in community and access to justice initiatives. She has worked internationally with community-based organizations such as the Female Lawyers Association Gambia (FLAG), Foundation for Human Rights Initiative Uganda (FHRI) and the Pan-African Defenders Network. Mary has a strong passion for increasing diversity within the legal profession and community development.

Mary's portfolio includes the core programming for Law in Action Within Schools (LAWS), Canada’s leading law school youth outreach/diversity pipeline program recognized as a leader in its field across North America.  Mary also oversees the University of Toronto Faculty of Law Youth Summer Program.
