George Triantis is the Charles J. Meyers Professor of Law and Business at Stanford University, where he is also Senior Associate Vice-Provost of Research.  Before joining the Stanford faculty in 2011, Triantis was the Eli Goldston Professor of Law at Harvard University, and has returned to Harvard from time to time since then as the Sullivan & Cromwell Visiting Professor of Law.  He began his teaching career as Assistant Professor of Law and Management at the University of Toronto (1989-1993).  Professor Triantis' areas of teaching and research are Contracts, Commercial Transactions and Business Bankruptcy.  Among his prior roles in academic service are as founding co-director of the Stanford Cyber Policy Initiative and editor of the Journal of Law & Economics.  Among his elected professional memberships are the American Law Institute and the American Academy of Arts & Sciences.
