Zarya Cynader is an associate at Gilbert’s LLP. Zarya maintains a litigation-focused practice with an emphasis on intellectual property and regulatory law, particularly in the pharmaceutical and biotechnology sectors, where she applies her technical and legal expertise to assist clients in resolving complex disputes.

In addition to experience in a variety of proceedings under the Patented Medicines (Notice of Compliance) Regulations, Zarya has experience in patent infringement actions and complex commercial litigation matters, as well as regulatory and policy advocacy before FDA and Health Canada. Zarya's practice also involves assisting clients in patenting their inventions, preparing patent scope and validity opinions, and strategic consultation on a wide range of issues in the pharmaceutical and biotechnology sectors.

Before obtaining her J.D. from the University of Toronto, Faculty of Law, Zarya studied organic synthesis and methodology in the Department of Chemistry at the University of British Columbia. Since being called to the bar, Zarya has advocated for clients before the Federal Court, the Ontario Superior Court of Justice, and the Alberta Court of Queen's Bench.
