Pamela Zbarsky is the Legal Director at Innocence Canada (IC). IC is a non-governmental organization working to identify, advocate for, and exonerate individuals who have been convicted of a crime they did not commit.

In her role as Legal Director, Ms. Zbarsky and her team represent individuals in overturning their wrongful convictions. She also has general oversight of the organization’s national case load, which at this time strictly focuses on homicides.  In addition to leading the staff lawyers, she also co-supervises IC’s summer students and acts as articling principal to the articling student.

Before joining Innocence Canada, she was the senior associate at a highly regarded boutique criminal defence firm in downtown Toronto where she successfully defended clients charged with a wide range of criminal and quasi criminal offences.

Ms. Zbarsky is currently completing her LLM with a specialization in criminal law and procedure at Osgoode Hall Law School. She obtained her LL.B. from the University of Ottawa, graduating cum laude.
