Adjunct Professor

Norman Farrell, B.A Hons (Queens), LL.B (Queens), LL.M (Columbia), spent 25 years prosecuting genocide, crimes against humanity, war crimes and domestic terrorism cases at international tribunals, including as the Chief Prosecutor of the Special Tribunal for Lebanon (STL), the Deputy Prosecutor of the International Criminal Tribunal for the Former Yugoslavia (ICTY), and Senior Prosecution Counsel at the International Criminal Tribunal for Rwanda (ICTR). Mr. Farrell also was legal advisor at the International Committee of the Red Cross in Geneva and Ethiopia and delegate in Sarajevo. Previously he worked at the Crown Law Office (Criminal) in Toronto and has argued before the Ontario Court of Appeal and Supreme Court of Canada. Currently Mr. Farrell is the Senior Legal Advisor at the Crimes Against Humanity and War Crimes Section, Federal Department of Justice.
