Adjunct Professor and Tax Counsel-in-Residence

Geoffrey Turner (BA (Hons) (Queen’s, gold medal in economics) 1988, LLB (Toronto) 1991, LLM (Osgoode) 2005), is Senior Counsel at Davies Ward Phillips & Vineberg LLP in Toronto, where he has practiced tax law his entire career.  Mr. Turner currently teaches International Taxation (fall term) and Corporate Income Tax (winter term) at University of Toronto Faculty of Law.  He previously taught Canadian Income Tax Law (2021-2025) at University of Toronto Faculty of Law and Taxation of Business Enterprises at Osgoode Hall Law School (2017-2025). He has also taught International Tax Law at Western University Law School (teaching award of excellence in 2001 and 2007) and at Osgoode, and from 2005 through 2017 was part of the Davies team teaching Osgoode’s advanced business law workshop.
