Adjunct Moot Advisor

Emily has been an Assistant Crown Attorney since 2002, and currently works in the Guns and Gangs Unit in Toronto. She has appeared at all levels of court in Ontario, and conducted dozens of trials, both jury and judge alone, as well as numerous criminal appeals.  Emily has expertise in the areas of search and seizure, confidential informers, criminal organizations, human trafficking and firearms offences. Emily has been an instructor in the Trial Advocacy Course at the University of Toronto Faculty of Law since 2010, and served as an Adjunct Moot Advisor to the University of Toronto Arnup Cup Trial Advocacy Team in 2020-2021, when the team qualified for the Sopinka Cup.  Emily has taught as a Guest Instructor at the Osgoode Professional Development Intensive Trial Advocacy Workshop and at the Arctic College in Iqaluit, Nunavut.
