Emily Kettel, B.Sc.(Eng) (Gueph) 2005, J.D. (Toronto) 2008, called to the bar of Ontario 2009. Emily is a partner in Bennett Jones' Intellectual Property Litigation Group. She works with clients in the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, mining, oil and gas and other science-based industries on patent validity, infringement, damages, and intellectual property advisory matters. Emily was counsel on the first action under the Patented Medicines (Notice of Compliance) Regulations along with a related appeal and damages case. Emily has significant experience in complex, multi-party patent matters involving concurrent litigation in Canada and the U.S. She chairs IPIC's Women's Intellectual Property Networking Group, sits on the Federal Court IP Users Committee, and coaches the University of Toronto Harold G.
