Adjunct Professor

David Walders, H.B.A. (Trinity College) J.D. (Toronto), LL.M (Toronto) is Counsel at Gilbert’s LLP, where he provides strategic advice to Indigenous communities on a variety of matters, including land claims, financing, economic development, and the structuring of business organizations. Prior to that, he worked at a large Canadian not-for-profit organization, which provides funding and support for indigenous innovation and entrepreneurship.  David began his career in New York City, working first as a Corporate Associate at Paul, Weiss, Rifkind, Wharton & Garrison LLP, and then working at the Canadian Mission to the United Nations. 

David is Anishinaabe, and his family is from Alderville First Nation.
