Adjunct Moot Advisor

Darilynn Allison is the Crown Attorney of the Peel Crown Attorneys’ Office. As a prosecutor for over 16 years, she has prosecuted a full range of criminal offences including homicide, human trafficking, sexual assault, domestic violence, firearms offences and internet child exploitation. In her role as Crown Attorney, she regularly gives advice to police and crowns on a wide variety of legal issues.

Ms. Allison has lectured at educational sessions for the OBA, at the Canadian Police College and most recently in her role as a Director of the Cybercrime Crown Educational committee. She spent two years as the advisory/embedded crown for the Peel Police Investigative Bureaus providing on-site legal advice and training for detectives on case specific matters. For 5 years, Ms. Allison was the domestic violence team lead at the Peel Crown office instituting the early intervention program and the high risk review committee. She has received civilian commendations for her work on major projects including take down of an international child pornography ring and projects to disrupt gun trafficking on the dark web.

Ms. Allison began her legal career after graduating from Osgoode Law School in 1999 as an articling student then an associate at Borden, Ladner Gervais.  She practiced in the Tort Liability and Insurance Litigation Group focusing on products liability, class actions, defamation and civil sexual assault.
