Welcome back to campus! We know you are just getting back into classes, but we also know that exploring your legal interests and planning for your legal career is top of mind. This year, the Career Development Office and the Future of Law Lab are collaborating to bring you the Leadership Skills Program, a series of sessions dedicated to helping you build practical skills that will allow you to succeed in your career.

As you think about building relationships in the legal community, remember two things: (1) it is a process and (2) relationship building is a fundamental skill that you are going to need for the rest of your career.

Let’s reframe how you think about career planning and making connections. On Thursday, September 15th, 2022 at 1230pm, join us for an interactive workshop with Jason Levin. Jason is based in Washington, DC and is an executive career coach and author of Relationships to Infinity: The Art and Science of Keeping in Touch. Everyone who attends the session will receive a copy of his book.

Jason will outline best practices and answer these questions:

• How can you develop a successful career planning mindset?
• What should you do if you don’t know where to begin with your job search?
• What does networking REALLY look like?
• How should you structure your time so that you are getting interviews?

Jason will also be giving away two free Zoom coaching sessions. To be eligible, answer the following question, by September 10th, 5pm EST:
• What is your biggest concern/fear about the job search process?
• What is one thing you hope to learn from this session?

Feel free to email answers to Jason, Jason@readysetlaunch.net. If selected, you will receive a one-hour coaching via Zoom, complete with feedback and suggestions for improvement.
