Deanna S. Newton received her J.D. from Pepperdine Caruso School of Law in 2017. At Pepperdine, she helped to form the Low Income Taxpayer Clinic that represents low-income taxpayers in collection matters with the Internal Revenue Service and the California Franchise Tax Board. Deanna received her Tax LLM from Northwestern Pritzker School of Law. She is a senior associate in KPMG’s International Tax Group where she focuses on advising multinational enterprises on tax planning decisions at a global level. Deanna has served as an adjunct professor at Pepperdine where she teaches Federal Income Tax. Her primary research interests are international tax and tax policy.
