Description

You have likely heard the term "Machine Learning" before, but do you know what it means and how it is applied in the legal field? Machine Learning uses algorithms and statistics to find patterns in large datasets. Many firms are incorporating machine learning tools into their practice, in a race to become more efficient, effective, and competitive. From document automation to due diligence to predictive analytics, machine learning is providing lawyers with the tools to become more productive than ever before.

But what exactly are the machine learning algorithms doing, how do they get built, and how are lawyers using them in practice?

This session, led by Noah Waisberg, CEO and Co-Founder of Kira Systems and CEO of Zuva AI, will teach you everything that a law student needs to know about machine learning. He will lead you in the development of a machine learning model, explaining along the way how machine learning algorithms are created, how the algorithmic model gets "trained", what types of data are collected, as well as showing you the many uses for machine learning in the law. Noah is an expert in the areas of legal technology, artificial intelligence, and innovation, and he will help you to understand how you can reap the benefits of machine learning when you enter the profession.

Please note, you do not need to have any familiarity with technology or artificial intelligence to participate in this session. This workshop is meant as an introductory session to help familiarize yourself with the concepts.
