Martin Loughlin, Professor of Public Law, was educated at LSE, the University of Warwick and Harvard Law School. He taught at Osgoode Hall Law School of York University, Toronto, the University of Warwick and at the LSE before moving to the John Millar Chair of Public Law at the University of Glasgow in 1988. From 1991, he was professor of law at the University of Manchester and he returned to LSE in 2000. Between 2000 and 2002, he held a Leverhulme Major Research Fellowship and in 2007-08 he was a Fellow of the Wissenschaftskolleg zu Berlin.
