On Sunday, October 30th, the Brazilian elections brought former President Lula back to power. Lula won with a narrow margin over right-wing candidate, and current President Jair Bolsonaro. In this panel, Professors Fabio Kerche (Unirio) and Marjorie Marona (UFMG) will provide an analysis of the institutional, social and political tensions that preceded the election, and assess what to expect in the coming months and years.
