Join us for the launch of the 2023 BFL Mentorship Program!

Future of Law Lab

About the Mentorship Program
The Black Future Lawyers mentoring program fosters supportive connections between undergraduate Black students and Black lawyers working in the legal community. Participating students benefit from the mentors' knowledge, wisdom, support, and experience.

Since its launch in 2020, over 200 BFL students have been matched with Black lawyers/mentors. We welcome mentors from any law school in Canada.

Please note: We require BFL mentors to have received their Juris Doctor (JD) and have one year of work experience, or currently articling. We ask BFL mentors to commit to connecting with their mentees a minimum of three times during the academic year (October to May).

Mentors are invited to express their interest in participating via our BFL Mentorship Form

Please share opportunity widely within your networks!
