This is an extensive information session on getting into UofT Law. Hosted by the Law Society of UTSC (LSOU) (facebook ).

JAN 28 - b2B Philosophy Career Panel: Careers in Law

6:00 - 7:30 pm
Open to all UofT Philosophy students, online event, registration is required

 

Hosted by the UofT Department of Philosophy (at the St. George campus).
A panel of successful philosophy professionals, alumni, and peers will discuss their U of T education, the value of their degree, and their pursuit of successful careers in the legal field. Take advantage of this opportunity for you to network and discuss the various avenues you can take in your career after graduation. Bring questions to ask during the panel discussion or chat more informally with panelists in breakout rooms! JD Admissions will be on the panel to answer admission into law school questions.

FEB 2 - Opportunities in the Legal Profession: Indigenous Perspectives and Reflections

12:00 - 1:30 pm
Open to the public, online event, registration is required

 

The National Advocates for Indigenous Law Students (NAILS) is hosting an Indigenous lawyer panel and law school information session via Zoom.
This is a perfect opportunity to hear from a panel of respected Indigenous lawyers about the law school experience for Indigenous peoples and the various careers available to you with a law degree. You will also learn about each law school in Ontario, including the supports available to Indigenous law students.
The event will be led by Amanda Carling, Manager, Indigenous Initiatives Office, UofT Law and will begin with an opening from Elder Constance Simmonds, followed by a panel discussion. To learn more about the panelists see the event registration.
The event concludes with an information session with Ontario law school representatives. Your questions throughout the event are more than welcome! Questions can be submitted in advance through the registration page, or you can ask your questions live on the day of the event.
