Description:A partner at FMC before entering politics, Mr. Van Loan will discuss the benefits of his legal education to his political career. As Government House Leader, Mr. Van Loan has the responsibility of steering the Government's legislative program through Parliament, and he will give an insider's perspective on the legislative process and the Government's agenda for the current parliamentary session. Prior to his current role, Mr. Van Loan has also served as Canada's Minister of International Trade and Minister of Public Safety.

Following his presentation, students will have the opportunity to meet Mr. Van Loan and pose questions to him.
