Second Beetz-Laskin Conference

To mark the 150^th anniversary of Confederation, the second Beetz-Laskin Conference on Canadian Constitutional Law, co-organized by the Faculté de droit, Université de Montréal (Noura Karazivan, Jean Leclair) and the Faculty of Law, University of Toronto (Patrick Macklem), brings together Canadian and foreign experts around four main themes:

(1) Repatriation, between myth and reality

(2) Federalism, between history and modernity

(3) Indigenous peoples and constitutional pluralism

(4) Religious freedom, secularism and the religious neutrality of the state
