Online Child Exploitation - Technology and Intellectual Property Group Conference
Lisa Henderson, Crown prosecutor from the Ontario Ministry of the Attorney General, will speak about the history and current status of IP addresses in search and seizure law in the context of online child exploitation investigations. Henderson serves as Crown coordinator for the Ontario Provincial Strategy to Protect Children from Sexual Abuse and Exploitation on the Internet, and she will discuss her experience dealing with the policy and legal issues relating to the protection of children from online exploitation. Specifically, she will address developments relating to the use of a non-warrant process for obtaining subscriber information from internet service providers based on IP addresses uncovered by police investigators.
