Rotem Giladi obtained an LL.B. (hons) from the University of Essex, UK in 1993 and LL.M. cum laude in international law from the Hebrew University in Jerusalem in 2001. He clerked and practiced international law at the Legal Adviser’s Office of the Israeli Ministry of Foreign Affairs. In that capacity, he served as a member of the Israeli Delegation to Israeli-Palestinian negotiations (1994-1995). Since, he researched, practiced and taught international law in addition to serving as policy consultant, focusing on the Israeli-Arab conflict and its resolution (1996 -2001). Between 2001 and 2007, he served as Senior Legal and Policy Adviser at the International Committee of the Red Cross Delegation in Israel and the Occupied Territories. He is currently writing his S.J.D. thesis on the law of occupation at the University of Michigan Law School, under the supervision of Prof. Steven R. Ratner.
