 Student Fundraising Feast for Haiti

In the wake of the tragic earthquake in Haiti, relief organizations are desperate for charitable donations to sustain medical services, rescue efforts, and short-term reconstruction. The U of T Faculty of Law can show a gesture of care and support towards the people suffering in Haiti, and several students have come together to organize a lunch time feast this Thursday, from 12: 30 pm to 2:30 pm

The feast will take place near Bora's head, and all proceeds will go to OxFam Canada's ongoing relief efforts.

Many of our caring law students have volunteered to assist in set-up and making food but we still need more! Any students that are able to help administer this event, or bake/cook lunchtime goods are encouraged to contact Justin Nasseri (justin.nasseri@utoronto.ca) or Atrisha Lewis (atrisha.lewis@utoronto.ca) ASAP. There will be minimum prices set on the food, but this is a "donate-what-you-can" event, and we are welcome to whatever our students and faculty can contribute to this cause.

We understand that this is a very busy time of the year for all law students, but for the students unable to contribute food, we would still ask that you attend the feast and demonstrate that our law school is a caring and compassionate community. We can't wait to see you there!
