"Guiding Google Through the Evolution of Intellectual Property Law"
Catherine Lacavera, VP Legal, Google

Thursday, January 21, 2021
12:45 PM - 2:00 PM

Google is one of the largest, most well-known, and most successful companies in existence. They are a global leader in the technology and innovation space, with correspondingly valuable brands, products, and ideas.

Catherine Lacavera, the VP Legal at Google, will join us to talk about her journey from University of Toronto student to the San Francisco Bay Area as Google's head of global litigation, employment, and regulatory investigations teams. Catherine will discuss the evolution, growth, and future trends in Intellectual Property Law, her experiences managing a team of over 150 lawyers, and a global litigation docket that has included over 1,000 matters. This is an incredible opportunity to learn about what it's like to lead the legal operations of a world-renowned corporation and hear directly from an alumni about the path that led her towards Google.
