Heidi Bohaker Is an Associate Professor in the Department of History, at the University of Toronto. Professor Bohaker’s research and teaching interests include legal history; Anishinaabe political history in the Great Lakes region; treaty relationships; federal government policies toward indigenous peoples in Canada; and digital history.   Her recent book Doodem and Council Fire: Anishinaabe Governance through Alliance  was published by the Osgoode Society for Canadian Legal History and the University of Toronto Press in 2020. It won the Canadian Historical Assocation's prize for best book in Canadian political history.
