The Asper Centre has continued to do ground-breaking constitutional work this year.  We participated as an interested person at the Polygamy Reference case in British Columbia, co-hosted a 2 day conference with the Canadian Civil Liberties Association on immigration status, held a half-day symposium on the UN No-Fly list in partnership with the IHRP and the Canadian Civil Liberties Association, conducted numerous workshops on emerging issues in constitutional law, hosted a workshop on constitutional conventions with experts from across the country (report forthcoming) and held a half-day symposium on Funding the Charter Challenge.  The student working groups have been very active preparing a brief to a Parliamentary Committee, hosting workshops and preparing research memoranda on the G20 and producing our newsletter. This work was accomplished with the help of faculty members, students and volunteers from the community.

You are invited to attend a reception to celebrate our accomplishments and to honour the work of our volunteers and contributors.
