Josh Fischmanjoined the faculty in 2008. He is currently teaching quantitative methods and administrative law. His research interests include law and economics, empirical methods and judicial decision-making. 

Fischman graduated magna cum laude in mathematics from Princeton University, where he was elected to Phi Beta Kappa. He earned a law degree from Yale in 1999 and a Ph.D. in economics from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 2007.

Fischman has presented in a variety of conferences and workshops, including the American Law and Economics Association Annual Meetings, the National Bureau of Economics Research Summer Institute, and the Conference on Empirical Legal Studies. Prior to joining the faculty, he served as an assistant professor of economics at Tufts University.
